Website Inspected: https://anexample.com
Overall SEO Performance: The website currently has a Lighthouse SEO score of 85. A score of 90+ is preferred.
Things that can be done:
Homepage Optimization: Important information such as the "About" section and contact phone number should be prominently placed towards the top of the homepage. This adjustment will make it easier for visitors to quickly understand the business and how to contact you, improving user engagement.
Development of Service Area Pages: The site presently only mentions "Idaho" as a service area in the title. Creating individual pages for each service area within Idaho that you serve can significantly boost local SEO efforts, allowing the business to rank for location-specific searches and providing relevant information to potential customers in those areas.
Separation of Package Details: Rather than consolidating all service packages on a single page, create distinct pages for each major package. This allows for more detailed content on specific offerings, improving the site's ability to rank for targeted service-related searches and enhancing user navigation.
Optimization of Google My Business Listing: An optimized Google My Business (GMB) profile including relevant keywords of your offered services and service area is vital for local SEO success. Ensure that the listing is accurate, features engaging photos, and is regularly updated to improve visibility in local search results and on Google Maps.
Pop-Up and Redirect Strategy: Immediate pop-ups upon site entry or from social media links should be eliminated. These can hinder the user experience and potentially increase bounce rates, negatively affecting the site's SEO performance.
Enhancement of Link Descriptions: Links on the site currently lack descriptive text. Employing descriptive, keyword-rich anchor text improves SEO by helping search engines better understand the site's content and improves user experience by providing clear context.
Implementation of Image Alt Tags: All images should include descriptive alt tags. Alt tags enhance web accessibility and offer search engines more context for images, aiding in image search optimization.
Introduction of a Current Events Page: Adding a "current events" section to the homepage or as a standalone page can increase engagement by providing fresh content and attracting visitors interested in local events.
Proper Use of Headings and Subheadings: The site's content often lacks clear headings and subheadings. Utilizing properly structured headings (H1, H2, H3, etc.) not only improves content readability for users but also helps search engines understand and rank the site's content more effectively.
Local SEO Enhancement through Service Area Pages: Emphasizing again the importance of local SEO, detailed service area pages for each specific area within Idaho can help the business connect with local customers, improving visibility for localized search queries.
Duplicate Content: Some of the content between your two sites is the same. Google frowns on any duplicate content and will lower your performance due to it. Spin content to mean the same thing but with different words when necessary.
