What is a hybrid car? Hybrid cars have a combined engine comprised of a gasoline fuel engine of the past with an electric motor of the future. Hybrid vehicles allow you to save gas by running on battery power while on short trips or stop-and-go traffic, while, at the same time, allowing you to fill up for longer road trips. It’s the best of both worlds. Hybrid vehicles run some of the time on battery alone; therefore, they have outstanding gas milage and have a much lower emission rate than a gas combustion engine.
Electric vehicles (EVs), on the other hand, don’t emit any harmful emissions at all, and when driving one, stopping at a gas station to fill up is a thing of the past. Another great thing about owning a hybrid and electric vehicles is that purchasing one may qualify you for a government tax credit, so not only are you helping to save the environment when you purchase a hybrid or EV vehicle, but, by doing so, you are also putting money back in your pocket.
